Timeless romance meets classic style for Alyson + John’s Andaz Scottsdale wedding. As a Scottsdale wedding photographer, I love capturing these amazing moments for couples on their wedding day. The day was full of sweet moments and a truly memorable wedding ceremony from Let’s Knot Weddings. Alyson and John met like many modern couples, on a dating app. The couple both live in Minnesota and love traveling to Arizona and taking in the amazing sun drenched skies. They had visited the Andaz on their first vacation together so it was a meaningful place for the couple to return to and have their wedding.

The Andaz, located in Scottsdale was the perfect destination for Alyson, John, and their guests. The couple says how they wanted their guests to feel like they were on vacation.

“We wanted the weekend to be a vacation for our friends and family, and it was very important that they did not need to travel much once they arrived at the resort. We chose a Friday night wedding to allow us to spend time with friends and family over the weekend of the wedding. On Saturday we rented a cabana on the pool and friends were able to stop by throughout the day and spend time with us.”

This Scottsdale wedding ceremony was framed with desert cacti and gorgeous mountains in the distance. The couple shared how happy they were with how special their officiant made the ceremony.

“We had a few meetings with him before, but we never would have guessed he would be able to so perfectly describe our relationship and what being married meant to us.”

The couple’s favorite part of the day: Cocktail Hour! Alyson and John shared how they loved this time of meeting and celebrating with family and friends after they no longer had the pre-ceremony nerves!

Classic Wedding Reception

Black and white details with pretty blush blooms set the stage for this classic wedding reception on the lawn of the Andaz Scottsdale. Alyson and John welcomed their guests and thanked them for making their way down to Arizona to celebrate their love.

“When you are planning your wedding there will be hundreds of decisions to make but take comfort in knowing that the biggest and most important decision is already behind both of you.”
